Eating well doesn’t mean giving up the foods you love – it just means choosing food wisely. Here are a few tips to help you develop healthy eating habits.

Choose whole grain/wheat breads, cereals, rice and other grain products.

Choose lower-fat dairy products or non-dairy substitutes like Tofutti products.

Choose leaner meats or meat alternatives.

Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables daily, especially dark green vegetables such as broccoli and spinach and orange vegetables such as carrots, squash and yams.

Achieve and maintain a healthy body weight with regular physical activity.

Drink lots of water and try to limit juice, pop and alcohol.
