Whether you are watching hockey, football, baseball, soccer or tennis, some snacks are a must on Game Day! Whip up a big batch of chili in the crock pot and use a cookie tray to make a huge batch of Nachos. Let the games begin!
Cookie Sheet Nachos to Feed a Crowd
1 lb. Lean ground beef
1 tsp chili powder
1 small jar salsa
1 bag tortilla or nacho chips
1 can black beans
1 green onion finely diced
1 container SOUR SUPREME®
Line a large rimmed cookie tray with foil. Spray with non-stick spray. Dump an entire bag of tortilla chips on to the tray and spread to cover the tray. Set aside.
In a frying pan, cook the lean ground beef, breaking it into small pieces and stir until cooked through. Add chili powder and salt and pepper to taste. Spoon cooked beef over the chips. Spoon 1 cup of salsa over the beef. Drain and rinse beans. Spoon beans over the beef and salsa. Sprinkle with green onions. Bake in oven 10 to 15 minutes to heat through. Add spoonfuls of SOUR SUPREME®
SOUR SUPREME® has a similar taste and texture to traditional sour cream but is also milk and butterfat free and contains no cholesterol. It’s the non-dairy substitute for sour cream which can be used at a 1:1 ratio to replace traditional sour cream in recipes or enjoy the delicious taste on baked potatoes, nachos and more. This product is ideal for those concerned with their fat and calorie intake.
Can’t Stop Myself Caramelized Onion Dip
Warning! This dip is highly addictive. Once you try it, you won’t be able to stop yourself from going back for more! Enjoy.
5 cups of red onion, peeled and thinly sliced
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp soya sauce
1 cup SOUR SUPREME®
1 cup Herb & Garlic or Herbs & Chive TOFUTTI Better Than Cream Cheese
Serve with: crackers, potato chips, carrot and celery sticks
In a large pot, add olive oil to heat. Peel and slice onions into thin slices and add to pot along with the salt, brown sugar and soya sauce. Stir over high heat for 2 minutes and then reduce heat and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft and caramelized. Set aside to cool.
In the bowl of a stand mixer add the TOFUTTI Better Than Cream Cheese and SOUR SUPREME® and whip—use a bit of water if the mixture is too thick. Then add onions into the mix and whip again. Place in a bowl and serve with crackers, chips or vegetable sticks.
